The Friends of Lee Richardson Zoo provides a nonprofit, membership-based organization dedicated to encouraging and aiding the development of Lee Richardson Zoo as an educational and recreational center. The corporation is a charitable, benevolent, educational, and scientific organization.

We're Looking for New Board Members!
Help us shape the future of our organization! The Board of Directors is a group of dedicated volunteers that meet monthly to oversee budgets, strategic planning, and organizational policy. Beyond the boardroom, our directors play a vital hands-on role in securing donations and supporting our major community events, such as Boo at the Zoo and A Wild Affair. The typical time commitment is 1–3 hours per month, with increased activity during event seasons. The current Board members have various backgrounds but we are always looking for expertise in finance, fundraising, sales, marketing, graphic design, and management.​
