Jungle Run VIII
July 8, 2023

Join the Friends of Lee Richardson Zoo on July 8, 2023, for an exhilarating day of automotive excitement at the Jungle Run VIII Auto Show on the West Green of the picturesque Lee Richardson Zoo. All makes, and models are welcome to participate. The Zoo will open at 8 am for pedestrians and drive-through traffic, with no early admittance. Vehicle registration begins at 8 am at the gazebo on the West Green. Voting for the awards will commence at 11 am, followed by an awards presentation at 2 pm.

For just $25 through 5 pm on July 7 (or $30 on the day of the show), you can pre-register your vehicle and secure your spot. The first 75 entries will receive exclusive dash plaques and goodie bags. Free prize drawings and giveaways will be held throughout the day.

Get ready for a thrilling showdown of participant-judged awards, including the best car, best truck, best motorcycle, best off-road vehicle, best unrestored vehicle, and the highly coveted best-in-show award. We proudly announce the sponsorship of the "Monster Muscle" category by Monster Energy and the "Classic" vehicle category by Coca-Cola. We have added two exciting additions to this year's participant-judged awards- the best Lowrider category and the Little Cub Kruiser category. The Little Cub Kruiser category encourages our youngest car enthusiasts to take part. All children's vehicles are welcome (hot wheels, push cars, pedal cars, and more) as long as they can sit in the vehicle. Registration for this category is just $10. The child must be accompanied by an adult registering a separate vehicle in one of the other categories. All Little Cub Kruiser entries will receive a special prize. Spectators will have the power to choose the People's Choice award, while our esteemed Zoo staff will decide the King of the Jungle award.

In addition to all the excitement, brace yourself for great music, mouthwatering offerings from food vendors, and tasty concession snacks at the Wild Dog Stop. That's not all! The Wild Dog Stop will also sell tickets to experience the whimsical joy of riding the carousel and train. Or purchase one of several mining packages available where you can try your hand at uncovering hidden treasures at the interactive mining adventure, Richardson Riverbed Mining Sluice. Get ready for truly immersive and engaging experiences at this year's Jungle Run at Lee Richardson Zoo.
