The Friends of Lee Richardson Zoo
(FOLRZ) is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization established in 1975 to
encourage and aid the development of the Lee Richardson Zoo as an educational
and recreational center. All proceeds from gift shop sales, special events,
Adopt-An-Animal program, memorials, and other donations are used for
improvements to the zoo. |

Name the Friends of Lee Richardson Zoo as beneficiary on your life
insurance policy, name Friends of Lee Richardson Zoo as the policy
owner. |
| New Tax Law |
|
A maximum of $100,000 a year can be donated from regular IRAs or
Roths. But the IRA owner must be at least 70½
when the distribution is made, and the payouts cannot go to either
donor-advised funds or supporting private foundations. The
donation will not be taxable to the donor and will count toward the
required minimum distribution for the year. The change applies
to 2006 and 2007. |
